The ideal candidate has a JD from an ABA-accredited school, NY Bar admission, and 8+ years of environmental law experience, including energy/infrastructure projects and

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of experience practicing U.S. environmental law with significant energy/infrastructure projects.
• Experience advising on federal and state environmental regulations and permitting.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on federal/state environmental regulations including CERCLA, CAA, RCRA, ECL, SEQRA, NAV.
• Represent clients in permitting, compliance, enforcement, and regulatory matters.
• Structure, negotiate, and close complex commercial real estate transactions.
• Lead environmental due diligence for M&A, project finance, and real estate deals.
• Draft and negotiate environmental provisions in contracts.
• Manage permitting/approval processes for energy and infrastructure projects.
• Advise on remediation, Brownfield redevelopment, and risk strategies.
• Collaborate with developers, lenders, utilities, and stakeholders.
• Review Phase I/II ESAs and technical environmental reports.
• Provide guidance on land use, NEPA/CERCLA/RCRA/ESA; carbon markets and energy transition.
