Job summary

Xcel Energy is seeking an Environmental Analyst III/IV to design, implement, and administer broad environmental studies and compliance programs. You will secure permits, monitor regulatory changes, and provide technical guidance to facilities and contractors to minimize risk and ensure compliance.

The role requires a BS/BA in environmental science or related field and multiple years of experience, with potential advanced degrees substituting for experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor-level degree in environmental science, engineering, applied science or related field with four years of relevant work experience.
Advanced education can substitute for work experience: MS/MA/MBA = 2 years; PhD/JD = 3 years.

Responsibilities

Designs and develops environmental procedures and programs to ensure regulatory compliance across facilities.
Designs and administers studies and monitoring programs.
Performs in-depth environmental reviews and inspections to support compliance.
Provides technical guidance and training on environmental topics to staff and contractors.
