Job summary

Southern California Edison is seeking an Environmental Agency Advocate Senior Advisor in Agency Relations (Regulatory Affairs) to build regulatory pathways, engage with agencies, and influence policy across the organization. You will interact with leadership and external regulators to advance priority initiatives.

The role emphasizes communication, problem-solving, and cross‑functional collaboration, including exposure to environmental and regulatory projects with high visibility.

Qualifications

• Ten or more years of experience in case management, energy markets, environmental sustainability and/or energy‑related regulatory policy.

Responsibilities

• Manages relationships and engagement strategies with federal and state agencies at management and regional levels, leading collaborative development of strategies.
• Lead, coordinate and support periodic SCE meetings with agency leadership to discuss priorities, progress and challenges.
• Advocate for SCE's regulatory requirements, goals and policy positions; handle escalated issues.
• Develop, renew or amend programmatic permits and agreements for operations and maintenance on federally regulated lands.
• Coordinate with internal OUs to review environmental policies and provide input on legislation.
• Represent or support SCE at regulatory proceedings (hearings, workshops, board meetings).
