Job summary

Polluxa, Inc. in Fremont, CA seeks an Enterprise Systems Engineer to build, secure, and scale the client platform across Windows, Linux, Chrome OS, and VDI.

You will lead OS lifecycle management, hardware refreshes, and modernize endpoints using Infrastructure-as-Code and container orchestration. You will also develop reusable libraries and SDKs, maintain VDI across clouds, and collaborate with Infra, Cloud, Security, and Networking teams to improve performance and user experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in systems/platform engineering or end-user computing.
• Automation of infrastructure and services.
• Experience with Windows/Linux OS internals.
• Proficiency with Git or Mercurial.
• PowerShell scripting experience.
• Experience coding in OO/functional languages (C#, Python, Ruby, PHP, Rust, Go).
• Experience designing solutions across public and private clouds.
• Experience with monitoring and configuration management tools (Chef, PowerShell DSC).

Responsibilities

• Build, scale, and secure the client platform within enterprise infrastructure.
• Lead OS lifecycle management and hardware refresh initiatives.
• Apply Infrastructure-as-Code, container orchestration, and software-defined storage.
• Build enterprise-grade apps/utilities for Windows, Linux, Chrome OS, and VDI.
• Develop reusable libraries, SDKs, and automated frameworks for endpoint lifecycle management across Windows, Linux, Chrome OS, and VDI.
• Manage Virtual Desktop Infrastructure across public and private clouds.
• Implement application virtualization and application streaming technologies.
• Optimize VDI performance, storage, networking, and end-user experience.
• Configure browser policies, kiosk mode, enrollment, and Chrome OS lifecycle management.
• Document systems and train others to take on operations.
• Collaborate with Infra, Cloud, Security, and Networking teams to deliver client platform solutions.
• Participate in incident RCAs through multiple infrastructure layers.
