Job summary

Maximus seeks a Chief Engineer to ensure end-to-end technical integrity of the program’s system, spanning software, infrastructure, networks, data, security, and operations. This remote role operates with enterprise authority and enforces lifecycle discipline across CRM, ERP, and related platforms.

You will lead engineering, DevSecOps, and platform operations, driving modernization and reducing technical debt while aligning with program requirements and contractual obligations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 12+ years of professional experience.
• 7+ years of technology leadership experience.
• Experience leading enterprise application strategy, architecture, engineering, integration, modernization, and operations.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise CRM/ERP platforms (Salesforce/Deltek Costpoint).
• Experience with enterprise architecture, APIs, integration, DevSecOps, CI/CD, testing, and release management.
• Strong understanding of security, data governance, risk, compliance, resilience, and lifecycle management.
• Experience managing technology budgets, licensing, vendors, professional services, and workforce planning.

Responsibilities

• Own the application development, administration, integration, DevSecOps, and lifecycle operations of Salesforce, Deltek Costpoint, and enterprise systems.
• Lead application engineering, platform operations, integration, DevSecOps, and release management.
• Drive platform modernization, automation, reuse, and reduction of technical debt.
• Adhere to architecture, engineering, data, and integration standards across CRM, ERP, and connected systems.
• Ensure platform security, reliability, performance, resilience, and operational health.
• Partner with leaders to prioritize capabilities, investments, and transformation initiatives.
• Build and lead high-performing teams with clear accountability and standards.
• Manage budgets, licensing, vendors, services, resources, and TCO.
• Review emerging technologies including AI, analytics, and platform-native capabilities.
• Lead multi-department teams and workforce staffing plans.
