Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Chief Engineer to ensure end-to-end technical integrity of the system delivered under a major program. You will oversee software, infrastructure, networks, data, security, and operations to meet requirements and contractual obligations, while guiding architecture, engineering, and lifecycle discipline across CRM/ERP platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
• 12+ years of professional experience across enterprise apps, CRM/ERP, software or platform engineering.
• 7+ years of technology leadership managing enterprise platforms or technical teams.
• Experience leading enterprise application strategy, architecture, integration, modernization and operations.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise CRM/ERP platforms, preferably Salesforce and/or Deltek Costpoint.
• Experience with APIs, integration, DevSecOps, CI/CD, testing, and release management.
• Understanding of security, data governance, risk, compliance, resilience, and lifecycle management.
• Experience budgeting, licensing, vendors, and workforce planning.

Responsibilities

• Own the application development, administration, integration, DevSecOps, and lifecycle operations of key enterprise systems.
• Lead application engineering, platform operations, integration, DevSecOps, and release management.
• Drive platform modernization, automation, reuse, and technical debt reduction.
• Adhere to architecture, data, and integration standards across CRM, ERP, and connected systems.
• Ensure platform security, reliability, performance, resilience, compliance, and operational health.
• Partner with business and tech leaders to prioritize capabilities and transformation initiatives.
• Build and lead high-performing teams with clear accountability and workforce strategy.
• Manage technology budgets, licensing, vendors, services, resources, and total cost of ownership.
• Review emerging technologies including AI, automation, analytics, and platform-native capabilities.
• Lead multiple departments or sub-functions, mentoring directors and managers as needed.
• Develop workforce plans to ensure availability of human capital for departmental goals.
