Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve reusable engineering capabilities focused on CI/CD, automated testing, deployment automation, release evidence, secure delivery controls, and environment promotion
• Create templates, scripts, reference implementations, documentation, and adoption guidance across delivery domains
• Partner with platform owners to ensure enterprise patterns are used without owning ongoing operations
• Measure adoption and outcomes, identify friction, and improve capabilities based on feedback
• Rapidly assess opportunities and build time-boxed proofs of concept to determine feasibility and approach
• Develop working code, integrations, deployment patterns, or demonstrations for APIs, workflow automation, cloud services, data movement, and emerging tech
• Document findings, decisions, risks, costs, and next steps for leadership and delivery teams
• Establish explicit entry, exit, and handoff criteria for proofs of concept to avoid unsupportable production solutions
• Partner with Enterprise Architects to validate target-state patterns through working implementations
• Create reference implementations for integration, API design, telemetry, resiliency, security, and other enterprise standards
• Provide hands-on guidance to delivery teams adopting approved patterns and resolve difficult implementation issues
• Identify impractical or incomplete architecture standards and recommend improvements
• Assess legacy deployment patterns and identify opportunities for automation, repeatability, and risk reduction
• Advise on modernization approaches including API enablement, modular decomposition, automated deployment, and database change automation
• Support knowledge transfer, pairing, and mentoring so teams can sustain the approach
• Embed security, risk, SSDLC, change control, and audit-evidence requirements into reusable patterns
• Ensure experimental work uses proper controls, non-production data, and documented limitations
• Coordinate with accountable teams to define production support, monitoring, and lifecycle responsibilities
• Report gaps in policies and controls to leadership to mitigate member impact and risk
