Job summary

Maania seeks a Chief Engineer to shape and govern the software architecture of our enterprise applications. The role demands a veteran leader who can own non-functional requirements, drive secure by design practices, and set technical direction across backend, API, and front-end layers.

You will collaborate with security, DevSecOps, and compliance stakeholders while guiding architecture reviews and delivering robust, scalable systems. On-site in Arlington, VA with active clearance preferred.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 3+ years in an architect/technical-authority role.
• Proven ability to design and evolve complex modular systems with ownership of non-functional requirements.
• Experience acting as a technical gatekeeper through architecture reviews and sign-offs.

Responsibilities

• Lead DevSecOps and QA engineering functions in a large-scale enterprise environment.
• Define secure, high-performance backend and API architecture using .NET Core.
• Guide front-end architecture patterns in Angular for enterprise applications.
