Job summary

Zing Health is seeking a Senior Enterprise Risk Management Specialist to design and lead the ERM program, with primary accountability for ORSA leadership, enterprise risk assessments, and regulator-ready reporting across the organization.

You will coordinate with actuarial, finance, compliance, legal, internal audit, and business leaders to translate complex risk information into actionable insights, support regulator inquiries, and drive ongoing ERM maturity while advancing a member-centered,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Accounting, Business, Actuarial Science, or related field.
  • Six (6) or more years of progressive experience in enterprise risk management, internal audit, compliance, or related roles within the health insurance industry.
  • Demonstrated ownership-level experience with ORSA, including report drafting and regulator interaction.
  • Strong knowledge of health insurance regulatory frameworks and NAIC ERM principles.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise professional judgment, and influence senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the annual enterprise risk assessment cycle and oversee ongoing risk identification, evaluation, and monitoring across the organization.
  • Own and maintain the enterprise risk register, including risk statements, inherent and residual risk ratings, controls, mitigation strategies, and ownership.
  • Provide guidance on alignment of enterprise risks with the Company’s risk appetite, tolerances, and limits, and elevate material deviations.
  • Identify and assess emerging risks across regulatory, operational, financial, technology, and strategic domains.

Position Summary

The Senior Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Specialist is a key leader within the Company’s risk management function, responsible for the design, execution, and continuous enhancement of the enterprise risk management framework, with particular accountability for Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA) leadership, enterprise-wide risk assessments, and risk reporting to executive management, the Board of Directors, and regulators. This role serves as a subject-matter expert on health insurance ERM expectations and acts as a central point of coordination across actuarial, finance, compliance, legal, internal audit, and business leaders. The Senior ERM Specialist provides independent risk insight, ensures regulator-ready documentation, and translates complex risk information into actionable intelligence to support strategic decision-making in a highly regulated health insurance environment.

Enterprise Risk Management Program Leadership
  • Lead the annual enterprise risk assessment cycle and oversee ongoing risk identification, evaluation, and monitoring across the organization.
  • Own and maintain the enterprise risk register, including risk statements, inherent and residual risk ratings, controls, mitigation strategies, and ownership.
  • Provide guidance on alignment of enterprise risks with the Company’s risk appetite, tolerances, and limits, and elevate material deviations.
  • Identify and assess emerging risks across regulatory, operational, financial, technology, and strategic domains.
ORSA Ownership
  • Serve as a primary owner or co-owner of the Company’s ORSA program, including planning, execution, and annual reporting.
  • Draft, review, and refine the ORSA Summary Report to ensure alignment with NAIC expectations and regulatory guidance.
  • Coordinate with actuarial and finance teams on stress testing, scenario analysis, capital management, and liquidity risk.
  • Support regulatory inquiries, examinations, and follow-up activities related to ORSA filings.
Executive, Board, and Regulatory Reporting
  • Prepare and present enterprise risk reporting, dashboards, and materials for senior management and Board or Board committees.
  • Translate complex risk data into clear, decision-oriented executive communications.
  • Support development and alignment of Form F (Enterprise Risk Report) and other enterprise-level regulatory disclosures.
  • Ensure consistency across ERM, ORSA, and Model Audit Rule (MAR)-related governance and reporting.
Cross-Functional Risk Integration
  • Act as a trusted risk advisor to business leaders and operational stakeholders.
  • Coordinate ERM activities with Internal Audit, Compliance, Legal, Finance, and Actuarial teams.
  • Promote a strong risk culture emphasizing accountability and informed decision-making.
  • Mentor junior ERM staff or support risk owners in strengthening risk practices.
Program Maturity and Continuous Improvement
  • Evaluate and enhance ERM methodologies, frameworks, and reporting tools.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and industry best practices related to ERM and ORSA.
  • Support long-term ERM maturity planning and sustainability.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Accounting, Business, Actuarial Science, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Medicare Advantage or multi-state insurance holding company structures.
  • Familiarity with Model Audit Rule (MAR), Form F, and CGAD requirements.
  • Professional certifications such as CRMA, CRM, CPA, CIA, CFE, or actuarial credentials.
