Job summary

Baseten is seeking a Senior Engineer for enterprise engineering to build IAM, billing, multi-tenant isolation, and deployment options across the Baseten platform. You will work on authentication, authorization, and admin experiences used by large customers and partners.

You'll lead complex initiatives, shape architecture, mentor teammates, and collaborate with product, design, and customer teams to deliver durable technical solutions at scale.

Qualifications

• Experience building enterprise software across identity and access management, billing, multi-tenant isolation, private connectivity, or compliance programs.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects, scale systems, and collaborate with customers to understand needs.
• Comfort across the full stack—from product/application code to cloud and Kubernetes infrastructure.
• Preferred: Experience building AI or data-intensive infrastructure products.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex, ambiguous engineering initiatives from problem definition and technical design through implementation, launch, and iteration.
• Make thoughtful architectural decisions balancing near-term customer needs with long-term simplicity, scalability, and maintainability.
• Partner with product, design, and customer-facing teams to translate user feedback into product requirements and durable technical solutions.
• Establish strong engineering practices for quality, security, observability, and operational ownership.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship, helping teammates grow while raising design and execution quality.
