Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Planning Engineer to design, standardize, and implement an enterprise-wide SIRP planning framework. You will drive demand-driven and capacity planning, integrate signals, forecasts, and inventory strategies, and lead cross-functional collaboration to improve supply chain performance.

The role emphasizes analytical thinking, project leadership, and governance across machines, engines, and components, with onsite work in Peoria, IL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience driving planning excellence within complex manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Knowledge of demand-driven planning, constraint-based decision making, and enterprise planning frameworks (S&OP/IBP/SIRP).

Responsibilities

• Lead deployment of a standardized enterprise SIRP operating model across planning horizons, governance, cadence, and metrics.
• Standardize planning processes to align demand, supply, inventory, and capacity plans.
• Translate long-range demand forecasts into capacity, labor, tooling, and capital planning requirements.
• Support scenario analysis and data-driven decision making for senior leadership reviews.
