Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a Senior Architect for External Networks responsible for defining strategic architecture for perimeter services, external connectivity, and DMZ environments. You will drive Zero Trust concepts, cloud networking patterns, and secure, scalable designs across internet-facing assets and partner connections.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive experience in network engineering, network security, or related field.
• 10+ years designing enterprise-scale network and security architectures.
• Demonstrated experience as a senior/lead architect for complex cross-functional initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Create solution intent and architectural vision for complex solutions and translate into a technology backlog.
• Contribute to architecture roadmap for domains (Business, Application, Data, Technology).
• Clarify architecture and assist with system design to support implementation.
• Lead design discussions, provide creative solutions, ensure modular, adaptable architecture.
• Mentor architects and engineers, promote consistent architecture practices.
• Partner with product managers to translate business objectives into architecture outcomes.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption or retirement.
• Communicate complex architectural decisions to technical teams and stakeholders.
