Job summary

Anakim Consulting is seeking a senior Network Engineer to lead design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise networks for a federal customer. The role requires strong leadership and hands-on expertise across switching, routing, firewall, and NAC systems.

You will supervise engineers and analysts, oversee ALE OmniSwitch and Fortinet deployments, and ensure secure, reliable network operations at the Katherine Johnson facility in Fairmont, WV.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate degree in a related discipline.
• 10-15 years of related network engineering experience with enterprise networks.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to manage workload and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Perform ALE OmniSwitch administration, VLAN architecture, and switch lifecycle management.
• Manage OmniVista network management, dashboards, and firmware rollouts.
• Configure Fortinet FortiGate policies, routing, and high availability.
• Use FortiAnalyzer for centralized logging and security reporting.
• Design 802.1X authentication with ClearPass and PKI lifecycle management.
• Lead and direct a team of network engineers, analysts, and technicians.
• Troubleshoot multi-layer network issues across switching, routing, firewall, and NAC.
