Job summary

The City of Whitehall, OH is seeking a Network Administrator to oversee the design, deployment, and operation of the municipal network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi, firewalls, VPNs, and secure connectivity for public safety systems.

You will config, monitor, and maintain network devices, manage security policies with the IT Network Security Administrator, keep detailed diagrams, and provide escalation support. Strong CCNA/Network+ and 3–5 years experience required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• 3–5 years of enterprise network administration experience.
• CCNA or Network+ and Security+ preferred

Responsibilities

• Analyze municipal connectivity requirements and design, configure, and optimize switches, routers, VLAN topologies, STP, ACLs, and QoS parameters.
• Oversee administration, patching, and lifecycle management of network hardware and software; coordinate with IT Network Security Administrator.
• Design, deploy, and administer enterprise Wi‑Fi controllers and APs; manage SSIDs, 802.1X/RADIUS, RF tuning.
