Job summary

Boston Medical Center seeks a Network Engineer III to support enterprise data and VoIP networks, install and maintain network hardware, and collaborate with vendors. The role requires CCNP and 6–8 years of enterprise networking experience, with a focus on data center and WAN/LAN infrastructure.

You'll work under the Team Lead of Network Engineering in a multi-vendor environment, participate in change management, and ensure high service levels while developing test plans and disaster recovery

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CCNP Certification required; six to eight years of enterprise networking experience.
Experience designing and implementing LAN/WAN networks and data/VoIP infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Manage planning, coordination, configuration, installation, and management of data and VoIP network infrastructure.
Design data and VoIP networks; install routers, switches, and wireless APs; interface with management, users, departments, and vendors.
Participate in Change Management and Root Cause Analysis meetings.
Monitor performance for LAN/WAN, ensure high service levels, and develop long-range plans.
