Job summary

Peraton seeks a Senior Network Architect to lead strategic design, documentation, and risk management of the Client's network infrastructure. You will assess the current architecture, develop a forward-looking to-be design, and ensure holistic risk mitigation across all integrated networks.

The role requires strong routing/switching, firewall, and security experience, with proven ability to document architectures and communicate with stakeholders, including upper management.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of routing/switching, WAN, VPN, segmentation, and high availability design.
• Hands-on experience with firewall architectures and operations (policy design, NAT, threat prevention, logging/monitoring).
• Experience performing risk assessments and designing mitigations at the system-of-systems level.
• Proven ability to create clear network architecture documentation and diagrams.
• Experience documenting as-is and to-be network architecture (topologies, data flow, dependencies, configurations, inventories).
• Experience implementing network security standards and reference architecture (firewall, segmentation, routing policies, secure remote access).
• Experience with communicating complex information in a clear, concise manner and navigation complex organizational dynamics to achieve project goals.
• Experience with interfacing effectively with industrial partners and internal teams to guide critical cyber security documents to approval.
• Experience with building and maintaining strong, productive relationships with key stakeholders and upper management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic design, documentation, and risk management of the Clients network infrastructure.
• Assess current (“as-is”) network architecture and develop a forward-looking (“to-be”) design.
• Ensure holistic risk mitigation across all integrated networks and align IT infrastructure with strategic and mission objectives.
• Standardize security practices to enhance resilience and efficiency across networks.
