Job summary

Doña Ana County, NM is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design, implement, and optimize the county’s enterprise network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, wireless, VPN, VOIP, and security systems. You will lead architecture planning and coordinate deployments with IT teams and vendors to ensure high availability and security.

Responsibilities include strategic planning, deployment of SD-WAN and security appliances, monitoring performance, and completing security audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Four years of experience in enterprise IT infrastructure or network management.
• CCNA certification required; CCNP, PCNSA, PCNSE, CompTIA Network+, and Security+ are preferred.
• Must pass NCIC background and driving record check.

Responsibilities

• Design and plan strategic network architecture for enterprise LAN/WAN and wireless.
• Lead deployment of SD-WAN, switches, routers, firewall, and VPN solutions.
• Monitor network performance, security, and incident response.
• Coordinate changes and manage projects with stakeholders; 24-hour on-call.
