Job summary

Optiv is seeking a seasoned security professional to lead complex Incident Response, Digital Forensics, and Threat Hunting engagements. You will serve as the primary technical lead and client-facing advisor during cybersecurity incidents across ransomware, cloud compromise, and insider threats.

With 5–8 years of related experience, you will mentor junior consultants, develop playbooks and readiness assessments, and present actionable findings to executives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 5–8 years of related cybersecurity experience.
• Minimum 5 years hands-on incident response, containment, eradication, recovery, and forensics.
• Experience leading investigations and client-facing engagements.
• Proven ability to develop proactive services (IR plans, playbooks, tabletop exercises).
• Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, VPNs) and cloud familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex IR, DFIR, Threat Hunting, and readiness engagements.
• Serve as primary technical lead during cyber incidents and investigations.
• Mentor Associate Consultants and provide knowledge transfer.
• Develop written findings, executive briefings, and remediation recommendations.
• Plan engagements, manage delivery, and ensure client satisfaction.
