Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years designing and delivering enterprise-scale software platforms and distributed systems.
• Deep expertise in authorization architectures, IAM, authentication, identity governance and privileged access concepts.
• Experience designing centralized policy decision services, policy enforcement architectures, and policy-as-code solutions.
• Ability to influence technical strategy, mentor engineers, and drive architectural transformation.
• Hands-on software engineer actively writing and maintaining production code for distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive enterprise authorization architecture with standards and patterns across applications, APIs, cloud platforms, and services.
• Lead transition to centralized policy decision services and reusable authorization capabilities.
• Design and implement policy-based authorization solutions expressed as code and deployable via modern pipelines.
• Partner with Security and Engineering teams to embed authorization and identity controls into the SDLC.
• Develop shared services and frameworks to support workforce, consumer, partner, and machine identities.
• Mentor engineers and guide architectural decisions to reduce complexity while improving security and compliance.
• Modernize legacy access management approaches for faster secure digital experiences across Nike's ecosystem.
• Write production code and apply enterprise-level coding practices for core authorization services.
