Job summary

Regions Financial Corporation is hiring a Senior Database Administrator to lead enterprise database environments across production, development, QA and disaster recovery. You will design, implement, optimize, secure and support mission-critical databases while collaborating with IT and business teams to ensure high availability and scalability.

The role emphasizes incident response, on-call rotation, and mentoring junior staff, with the option to work primarily from home and visit Regions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required
• Six (6) years of experience in Computer Science or related field required
• Strong knowledge of relational databases and data modeling essential

Responsibilities

• Designs data models and physical databases, data dictionaries, and schemas
• Executes installation, upgrades and tests of database software
• Develops and implements database recovery plans and procedures
• Troubleshoots and resolves database issues
• Monitors database environment for efficiency
• Advises leadership on changing database environment
• Manages multiple projects and ensures compliance with risk and cybersecurity practices
• Provides guidance to junior administrators (where applicable)
• Supports disaster recovery planning and incident response
