Optum is currently seeking a hands-on Senior Project/Program Manager to support our State of Illinois Medicaid Data and Analytics project within our State Government Solutions Data and Analytics practice. The Senior PM will work with large Medicaid healthcare datasets and will translate clients’ business requirements into enterprise systems, applications, or process designs for complex Medicaid health data solutions. The role will drive and support initiatives for our State of Illinois Data and Analytics project as well as participate in the broader Optum State Government Data and Analytics group’s areas of data usage and governance, information management, privacy and security, data analytics and visualization and information modeling.
The Data Analytics Manager will lead the operations and large-scale design, development, and implementation project using industry standard project management best practices. These project management best practices include management of integration, scope, schedule, cost, quality, resource, communication, risk, procurement, and stakeholder. In this critical role the selected candidate will collaborate closely with the client to build/expand data warehouse and report solutions for Optum. Serves as a key resource on complex business and technical issues facilitating and guiding for a resolution to meet/exceed customer expectations. Sets the example for communication with outstanding written and verbal communication. Manage cross-functional interdependencies between the customer, project teams, product team, and leadership.

The salary range for this role is $106,800 to $194,200 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
