Job summary

Edwards Lifesciences is seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to lead the enterprise DevEx strategy, architecture, and platform capabilities for secure, scalable software delivery. You will establish standards, self-service platforms, DevSecOps guardrails, and platform engineering services to accelerate delivery while reducing risk.

The role requires 12+ years in cloud architecture and hands-on experience with Azure/AWS, IaC, and regulated manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in related field.
Minimum 12 years of related experience.
Advanced experience with Microsoft Azure and AWS.
Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated experience with Cloud Infrastructure and Software solutions.
Demonstrated experience with AWS or Azure Architectural Patterns, DevSecOps, CI/CD, Automated Testing, Artifact Management, and Guardrail development.
Java, Python or other Object-Oriented Programming and troubleshooting skills preferred.
Proficiency with software tools for requirements management, engineering analysis, and statistical analysis.
Demonstrated technical project management skills on multi-year projects with multi-functional teams.
Familiarity with container and resource management technologies such as Kubernetes or Docker.
Excellent documentation and communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills.

Responsibilities

Architect enterprise wide cloud solutions with an automation mindset that are scalable, secure and cost effective.
Lead Cloud Architecture and Design activities for enterprise-wide solutions and/or manufacturing and quality related solutions.
Architect solutions with disaster recovery and high availability in mind.
Partner with Technical Operations and other architects for Infrastructure as a code and DevOps pipeline design.
Establish and develop procedures for Enterprise Cloud Workloads while engaging proper Enterprise level standards.
Perform design and architecture reviews for complex cloud workloads and provide knowledge transfer to other architects.
Manage vendor relationship and harmonize needs across all stakeholders.
Lead Cloud Architecture and Design activities for Cloud based Product Development.
Incidental; Provide coaching, mentoring and knowledge transfer to other team members.
