Job summary

RealPage is seeking an Architect V to define and drive technology strategy, architecture standards, and long-term direction across multiple products and platforms. This senior contributor partners with Engineering, Product Management, Security, and Operations to ensure scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.

You will lead architecture reviews, governance, and end-to-end solution design while mentoring engineers and promoting engineering excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or related field.
• 12+ years of software engineering experience.
• 5+ years in architecture, principal engineer, or equivalent senior leadership roles.
• Deep expertise in distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, APIs, integration patterns, and data architecture.
• Experience designing highly scalable, mission-critical software platforms.
• Strong understanding of security, reliability, performance, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain enterprise, platform, and solution architecture strategies.
• Develop target-state architectures and roadmaps aligned to business goals.
• Lead architecture reviews and governance for major initiatives.
• Ensure consistency of patterns, standards, and design principles.
• Partner with PM to align investments with objectives; collaborate with Engineering, Security, Infra, and Ops.
• Promote best practices in cloud architecture, observability, resiliency, and automation.
• Mentor senior engineers and architects; influence technical direction across teams.
