Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA seeks a Principal Enterprise Architect for Core Retail Systems to shape the technology foundation behind our omnichannel grocery strategy across stores, e-commerce, loyalty, merchandising, supply chain, fulfillment, and enterprise platforms.

You will partner with business, product, and engineering leaders to design and govern scalable platforms, craft enterprise roadmaps, ensure architecture standards, mentor architects, and guide build/buy decisions to keep solutions flexible

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of architecture leadership experience across multi-domain portfolios.
• Expertise in enterprise architecture practices, roadmapping and cost/value modeling.
• Exceptional communication, executive influence and decision framing skills.
• Strong understanding of GenAI and agentic patterns including RAG, fine-tuning, prompt engineering and model serving.

Responsibilities

• Sets enterprise technology vision and operating model with cross-domain roadmaps and governance.
• Aligns architecture with business objectives and omnichannel growth.
• Define enterprise blueprints across business, customer journey, data, and security perspectives.
• Chairs architecture governance and measures value and technical debt trends.
• Mentor architects and drive alignment across major transformation initiatives.
• Partner with product, engineering and platform leaders to embed architecture into delivery.
