Job summary

The State of Maine, Office of Information Technology (MaineIT), is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to define strategic technology investments and lead the Enterprise Architecture program. You will collaborate with agency partners and technical teams to ensure scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions align with business objectives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of related post-secondary education, technical certifications, or technology related work experience.
• Demonstrated technical writing and research experience in a work or academic environment.
• Experience with cloud platforms, networking, containers, and API integration.

Responsibilities

• Develop the design and guide the implementation, migration strategies, and optimization of technology solutions to align with MaineIT’s Enterprise Architecture framework.
• Identify system and process improvements to ensure scalability, security, compliance, and high performance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs to technical solutions and facilitate communication between teams and vendors.
• Advise IT and business stakeholders on RFPs, technology contracts, amendments and statements of work.
• Participate in technology governance initiatives and architecture reviews and develop policies and assessment frameworks.
