Job summary

Guidewire is seeking a Senior Architect to lead end-to-end technical architecture for large insurance implementations. The role partners with engagement managers and customer executives to drive governance and delivery success.

You will own architecture across multiple portfolios, mentor teams, and shape long-term technology strategy while addressing risk and compliance considerations.

Qualifications

• Experience in enterprise software architecture with delivery leadership.
• Insurance domain experience preferred; background delivering enterprise solutions in insurance is a plus.
• Experience with core insurance platforms (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter) is advantageous.
• Strong command of Java, Gosu, REST APIs, and cloud-native architecture.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end technical architecture across one or more large programs.
• Lead discovery and design workshops translating business needs into scalable solutions.
• Architect complex solutions across core insurance platforms and cloud platform.
• Define reusable design patterns for long-term maintainability.
• Provide technical direction, mentoring, and reviews for architects and developers.
• Anticipate technical risks and drive architectural governance processes.
• Act as trusted advisor to customer leadership, present roadmaps, support pre-sales and proposals.
• Apply AI tools to improve productivity and innovation in delivery.
