Job summary

McKesson is seeking a Principal Architect, Employee Enablement to define and govern the architecture vision for how McKesson employees work, access services, and get help. You will lead an integrated, AI-enabled ecosystem spanning ServiceNow, Digital Workplace, Microsoft 365, Copilot, Workday and more.

The role guides architecture reviews, sets governance, and drives secure, scalable employee-facing solutions while mentoring senior engineers and aligning with Legal, HR, and Global Impact

Qualifications

• Expert enterprise architecture mastery and governance across multi-domain portfolios.
• Strong experience translating business strategy into practical technology patterns for employee enablement.
• Proven ability to guide architecture decisions balancing risk, speed, and business value.

Responsibilities

• Set the employee enablement architecture strategy with long-term vision and target-state roadmap.
• Shape scope, dependencies, and architecture runway for programs across HR, legal, pay, impact and AI-enabled channels.
• Design integrated journeys using ServiceNow, Digital Workplace, Microsoft 365, Copilot, Workday and related tools to improve productivity.
• Lead enterprise architecture review readiness and design approvals; manage exception handling and standards alignment.
• Clarify platform ownership, eliminate duplication, and drive portfolio rationalization across vendors.
• Embed responsible AI and security by design with governance, data controls, and risk management.
• Advise executives on technology risks, vendor strategy, and investment decisions.
• Mentor senior architects and engineers to raise overall architecture maturity.
