Job summary

GovCIO is hiring a Senior Architect Development Team Lead to support solution architecture and development needs for a government customer in the Washington DC metropolitan area. The role is hybrid—primarily remote with intermittent onsite work—and requires Top Secret/SCI clearance.

You will lead a team, design scalable architectures, and collaborate with customers, ensuring alignment with federal regulations through all project phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 15+ years in large-scale app design and development.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with customers and stakeholders.
• Experience with federal contract and grant management helpful.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of architects and developers.
• Assess existing background investigation systems across agencies.
• Design scalable architectures meeting regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with infrastructure, security, and other teams.
• Ensure compliance with federal regulations and standards.
• Guide development teams to implement proposed solutions.
• Utilize JIRA for requirements tracking.
• Develop software using Natural with ADABAS.
• Manage file transfers with Connect Direct.
• Develop and maintain JCL and IBM MQ queues.
• Proactively identify customer and project needs.
