Job summary

Sentara seeks a Principal Enterprise Architect to provide strategic and technical leadership in shaping enterprise architecture across clinical systems and supporting domains. You will define target-state architectures, standards, and roadmaps, and collaborate with application, domain, solution, infrastructure, and security teams to deliver balanced, enterprise-wide outcomes.

With a focus on clinical systems, you will mentor architects and engineers, govern architectural initiatives, and advise

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in Enterprise Architecture.
• Five or more years of experience in Software development.
• Ten or more years of experience across at least three architecture disciplines.
• Deep knowledge of value stream maps, persona development, and design thinking.
• Experience with cloud technologies (Azure, AWS) and data streaming.
• Experience with healthcare applications (Epic, PACS, Waystar) and related workflows.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and technical leadership in enterprise architecture.
• Define target-state architectures, reference models, standards, patterns, and roadmaps.
• Collaborate across architecture teams and provide governance oversight.
• Mentor architects and engineers and advise leadership on architectural strategy.
• Guide cloud adoption and evaluate emerging technologies.
