Job summary

Sentara Health Plans seeks a Principal Enterprise Architect to lead strategic and technical direction for enterprise architecture that aligns IT with clinical and business objectives. You will define target-state architectures, roadmaps, and standards while guiding governance and mentoring teams.

The role emphasizes cloud adoption, interoperability, and scalable solutions across healthcare domains, with a focus on patient care and revenue cycle applications.

Qualifications

8+ years of enterprise architecture experience, degree preferred.
10+ years of experience in at least three architecture disciplines (business/information/solution/technical).
Experience with cloud, data, IoT, AI, and digital experience technologies in healthcare.
Experience with Epic, PACS, Waystar or similar healthcare applications.

Responsibilities

Lead the development and evolution of enterprise architecture frameworks.
Provide governance oversight and mentor architects and engineers.
Collaborate across application, domain, solution, infrastructure, and security teams.
Advise leadership on architectural strategy, cloud adoption, and emerging technologies.
