Base pay range

$190,000.00/yr - $215,000.00/yr

Role:

• Own the enterprise architecture function across a federated organization; lead EA engagement across lines of business and shared services.
• Stand up and scale a governance structure including technical review boards, artifact libraries, capability models, and roadmap planning.
• Deliver architecture support for four strategic initiatives: governance maturity, business capability modeling, vendor roadmapping, and blueprint development.
• Partner closely with data engineering teams to ensure enterprise data strategies, models, and pipelines align with business and platform objectives.
• Work shoulder-to-shoulder with software and DevOps teams to ensure cloud-native architecture patterns are aligned across services and pipelines.
• Produce high-quality architecture documentation and artifacts, including integration blueprints, platform capability maps, and design justifications.
• Provide architecture oversight across infrastructure, software, and data platforms with a focus on performance, scalability, and reusability.
• Influence decision-making by presenting trade-offs and options to technical and non-technical stakeholders; build credibility through clarity and delivery.
• 10+ years in progressive technical roles, with 5+ years focused on architecture strategy and delivery across domains.
• Experience in cloud-native and hybrid environments (AWS, Azure)—certifications preferred.
• Strong background working with DevOps tooling (CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, GitHub Actions) and cloud-based deployment models (EKS, containers, serverless).
• Solid understanding of data architecture including data lakes, data warehouses, and data integration patterns (ETL/ELT, APIs, streaming).
• Ability to lead engineering discussions across microservices architecture, API lifecycle management, event-driven design, and container orchestration.
• Demonstrated success in federated models or matrixed organizations—experience aligning disparate business unit roadmaps under a cohesive technical vision.
• Strong communicator with an ability to influence through diagrams, documentation, and rationale—not hierarchy.
• 10+ years in progressive technical roles with at least 5 years in architecture or platform strategy leadership roles.
• 50% hands on, 50% EA hands-on work
• Demonstrated experience building or leading federated enterprise architecture models across business units.
• Strong cloud background—hands-on with AWS and/or Azure (certifications preferred: AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Architect Expert).
• Deep understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks and tools (e.g., TOGAF, ArchiMate, BIZBOK, LeanIX, etc.).
• Experience building governance structures, architecture review boards, and capability models.
• Strong communicator with proven ability to influence senior business and IT stakeholders.
• Ability to “roll up sleeves” and create architecture diagrams, roadmaps, and technical justifications.
• Experience with DevOps integration, Agile delivery models, and modern engineering ecosystems (Kubernetes, CI/CD, IaC, API-first).
