Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking an Applied AI and Machine Learning Lead to drive generative AI initiatives from concept to production within Corporate Technology. The role emphasizes semantic consistency, stakeholder collaboration, and measurable outcomes across enterprise systems.

You will mentor talent, influence technical direction, and lead the design and governance of ontologies and data pipelines while solving hard problems with real business impact in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in data science or related field required.
• 8+ years of industry experience in data science or ML roles.
• Proven experience developing and deploying machine learning and generative AI solutions using Python.
• Ability to write production-quality code with documentation and maintainable patterns.
• Experience building automated tests and CI pipelines for ML projects.
• Experience building data pipelines and ML workflows for analytics and models.
• Strong analytical thinking, hypothesis-driven problem solving, and clear metrics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ownership and ability to operate in ambiguous domains.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across product, engineering, data, and business partners.

Responsibilities

• Build generative AI, agentic AI, and LLM solutions in Python from proof of concept to production with measurable outcomes.
• Design context engineering approaches to improve model performance and user experience.
• Lead enterprise semantic modeling strategy, including ontology standards and governance.
• Collaborate with domain experts to create scalable ontologies representing entities, relationships, and rules.
• Define semantic integration patterns across data pipelines, APIs, data contracts, and experiences.
• Establish and govern a unified semantic layer for analytics across BI, ML, and transactional systems.
• Enable intelligent workflows and AI agents using ontology-driven context and reasoning.
• Build and maintain pipelines for model training, evaluation, and ML operations.
• Implement responsible AI practices, model risk controls, and governance aligned to regulated environments.
• Mentor engineers and data scientists to raise engineering rigor and reuse.
