Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking an Applied AI and Machine Learning Lead to design, build, and deploy scalable generative AI solutions that deliver measurable business value. You will translate complex business needs into problem statements and production-ready models while establishing semantic standards across analytics and AI use cases.

You will mentor engineers and data scientists, shaping technical direction across Corporate Technology Data Science and AI.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in data science with 8+ years industry experience
• Experience deploying machine learning and generative AI in production
• Production-quality code, documentation, maintainable patterns
• Experience building data pipelines and CI pipelines
• Strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Build generative AI and LLM solutions in Python from proof of concept to production
• Design context engineering to improve accuracy and latency
• Lead semantic modeling strategy and ontology governance
• Partner with domain experts to create scalable ontologies
• Define semantic integration patterns across data pipelines and APIs
• Establish unified semantic layer for analytics, ML, and transactional systems
• Enable intelligent workflows and AI agents using ontology-driven context
• Maintain pipelines for model training, evaluation, monitoring (MLOps)
• Implement responsible AI practices and governance aligned to regulated environments
• Mentor engineers and data scientists
