Job summary

Zeus Industrial Products, based in Orangeburg, SC, seeks an experienced AI Engineer to design and deploy enterprise AI solutions—integrating LLMs, AI agents, data platforms, and APIs. You will help standardize patterns and enable scalable AI across manufacturing and business functions.

You will collaborate with data scientists, enterprise architecture, and manufacturing teams to deliver production-ready AI capabilities, focusing on governance, security, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, AI, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of software/AI engineering experience.
• Strong Python proficiency and API/backend development experience.
• Hands-on with LLMs, prompt engineering, AI agents, and RAG architectures.
• Experience with AI orchestration tools and vector databases/search tech.
• Familiarity with cloud/data platforms (Snowflake, Azure, AWS, Databricks).
• Good software engineering practices: Git, CI/CD, testing, monitoring, deployment.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy enterprise AI applications and AI agents.
• Build AI orchestration pipelines using LLMs, RAG, and vector search.
• Integrate enterprise systems via REST APIs and middleware.
• Collaborate with data scientists and business stakeholders to productionize ML/AI.
• Develop semantic search, knowledge graphs, and conversational AI capabilities.
• Establish AI governance, security, observability, and cost controls.
• Define enterprise AI architecture standards and platform roadmaps.
• Monitor performance, cost, reliability, and user adoption.
