Overview

We're looking for enthusiastic Enterprise Sellers to work with our largest customers to build long-lasting relationships, help them understand the value of GitHub’s solutions, and drive the buying process. The ideal candidate will have the passion and aptitude to master GitHub’s product capabilities, business impact, and competitive advantages, creating valuable solutions for our customers. You will proactively cultivate and maintain strong relationships with customers, using GitHub sales strategies with executive, business, and technical decision makers at high levels of the customer's organization, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor. You will oversee a complex book of business requiring strategic planning and prioritization.

Responsibilities
  1. Sales Excellence
  • Position as a thought leader and trusted advisor to executive decision makers by leveraging best-in-class sales techniques to build relationships.
  • Develop compelling value propositions and business plans that drive outcomes, maximizing upselling and cross-selling.
  • Create stakeholder maps and engage decision makers to articulate GitHub's value aligned with customer objectives, translating features into business impact.
  • Account Management
    • Develop and execute account plans using methodologies like Value Framework, MEDDPICC, Challenger Sale, ensuring high-volume sales and achievement of goals.
    • Own forecasting for assigned accounts, lead diverse teams, and coordinate with internal experts on planning, execution, and closing.
    • Understand customer mapping and buying processes, helping new buyers navigate deals and strategize for challenges.
    • Collaborate with Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, Partners, and other teams to create a functional, transparent team environment.
  • Industry Knowledge
    • Exhibit deep industry knowledge, current trends, and competitive landscape, positioning GitHub solutions effectively.
    • Advise customers on best practices, encouraging innovative thinking and demonstrating the value of GitHub products.
    • Present strategic ideas confidently to small and large groups, answering questions effectively in live settings.
    Qualifications

    Required:

    • 6+ years in technology-related sales, account management, or technical selling, or
    • Bachelor’s in Business, Technology, Liberal Arts, or related field + 4+ years experience, or
    • Master’s in Business Administration + 2+ years experience, or
    • Equivalent experience
  • Ability to travel ~30%
  • Fluent in English and native Spanish
  • Preferred:

    • Experience in software sales, especially in software development, DevOps, DevSecOps, AI
    • Ability to build trusted relationships at all levels
    • Experience selling in LATAM, multilingual skills (Portuguese a plus)
    • Proven track record of exceeding targets and growing business
    Compensation Range

    USD $155,250/year, with potential sales incentives. OTE is based on a 50/50 base salary and sales incentive split. Compensation varies based on location, experience, and role impact. Benefits include annual bonus, stock, and other rewards.
