Job summary

BAE Systems seeks a Sr Enhancement Specialist Editor to support the NGA Operations Center, delivering editorial services per NGA guidance. You will review materials for clarity, grammar, formatting, and logical flow, and coordinate with SMEs to ensure accuracy and conciseness on high-stakes products.

The role requires mastery of publishing tools (Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, InDesign, FrameMaker) and a strong command of English mechanics, with familiarity of the Intelligence Community

Qualifications

• At least 6 years of relevant professional editing experience.
• Bachelor's in English or related field; master’s may add experience.
• Superior proficiency in English language mechanics and vocabulary.
• Knowledge of government-mandated plain language principles.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency on PC platforms.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and correct draft material for clarity, consistency, style, format, logic, and organization, including grammar and punctuation.
• Review correspondence and guide editors and SMEs on clarity, brevity, and relevance.
• Edit multiple projects with deadlines in a high‑pressure environment.
• Perform structural, substantive, and copy edits for completeness and accuracy.
• Produce, process, and disseminate documents in various formats.
