Job summary

Astrolab, The Lunar Operations Company, seeks a Senior Engineering Technician in Hawthorne, California. You will support assembly, integration, testing, and development of aerospace hardware, working with mechanical sub-assemblies, electrical harnesses, avionics, and harness integration.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Production, Avionics, and Test teams, operate from drawings, procedures, and requirements, and maintain traceability and quality workmanship across rover components.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience assembling, integrating, and testing complex hardware.
• Experience with mechanical sub-assembly, harnesses, avionics, and related interfaces.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and follow specifications precisely.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex mechanical assembly and integration of aerospace hardware.
• Interpret drawings, BOMs, and work instructions to build hardware accurately.
• Install fasteners, bearings, seals, and precision components with calibrated tools.
• Conduct precision fitting, alignment, and dimensional verification.
• Follow testing procedures and document results for engineering reviews.
• Mentor technicians and maintain high workmanship standards.
