Senior Engineering Technician/Designer

Westwood Professional Services, Inc.

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is looking to hire an experienced Engineering Tech/Designer in our San Antonio office. As an Engineering Tech/Designer you would be responsible for using standard drafting practices and procedures, with a strong attention to detail, to assist with tasks related to a variety of engineering and construction projects. The Engineering Tech/Designer will modify and create design plans and drawings using computer aided design (CAD) programs under the direction of a designer or engineer. Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients.






Duties and Responsibilities




* Apply Westwood Company CAD standard, practices, and procedures in creating and modifying CAD drawings
* Collaborate in a team environment
* Coordinate filing, storage, and retrieval of drawings and documents
* Work with extreme precision and accuracy in creating design drawings
* Provide direction to design team
* Review and research specifications and code requirements
* Willing to take on other duties as assigned






Required Skills




* Experience and knowledge of latest version of AutoCAD Civil 3D

* Design experience and skills relevant to land development and/or public infrastructure

* Working Knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat/Bluebeam

* Possess mathematical skills and analytical abilities






Required Experience




* High School graduate or equivalent
* Technical degree or certification in AutoCAD Civil 3D

* 10+ Years of Industry Experience, specifically Land Development

* Attention to detail, self-motivated and a team player
* Willingness to learn and grow






Preferred Experience




* Associate Degree
* Experience with GIS mapping services
* MicroStation Experience
* Experience with applications (InfraWorks, SITEOPS, BIM, Revit, AutoTurn, AutoDesk 360, etc..)
