Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation is seeking an Engineering Technician III to lead the assembly of complex electronic, mechanical, and optical systems and to perform advanced troubleshooting and calibration. You will analyze test results and provide detailed reports while mentoring junior technicians and collaborating with engineers on R&D projects.

The role requires strong reading of drawings and ability to operate standard laboratory equipment, with a focus on safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a related field is required or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of technician experience; higher level degree may substitute for experience.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings, diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
• Ability to work with standard lab/test equipment and power tools and to perform precision calibrations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the assembly of complex electronic, mechanical, and optical systems.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and repairs on equipment.
• Calibrate and test devices with precision.
• Analyze test results and prepare detailed reports and recommendations.
• Mentor and train junior technicians; collaborate with engineers on R&D projects.
• Develop and enforce safety protocols and SOPs.
