Job Description

As a Senior Engineering Technician located in Towson MD you will be an integral part of professional power tools new product development team. Perform hands‑on concept development, prototyping, product testing, and data collection. Perform tests, prepare and analyze test results and provide guidance back to product development team. Works closely with manufacturing and suppliers. Utilizes experience and cross‑functional interaction to deliver solutions that are innovative, manufacturable, and cost effective. Investigate design issues and test failures and effectively drives corrective actions. Effectively maintains appropriate documentation for work performed. Perform technical tests, analyze results, and provide actionable design advice to engineering teams. Monitor Engineering data against established performance targets, identify trends, and recommend areas for improvement. Stay abreast of emerging technical and process advancements; support the adoption of state‑of‑the‑art practices across the organization. Provide technical consultation to Engineering Support team members, allied teams, and other stakeholders. Work with other Technicians to create best practices.

Requirements

• 3-5 years related experience
• Ability to consult and advise teams for decision‑making and problem‑solving.
• Advanced ability to navigate complex and ambiguous test requirements from Design Engineering teams.
• Demonstrated competence in track scheduling.
• Skilled in using standard electrical and mechanical measuring instruments.
• Demonstrates foundational product and user knowledge relevant to Stanley Black & Decker’s portfolio.
• Skill in 2D3D CAD, diagnostics, and electrical/mechanical design.
• Communicate with openness and respect for differing perspectives.
• Proven ability to influence others to achieve shared goals.

Details

The Salary range for this position is $52,900.00 - $85,100.00. This is the lowest to highest annual full‑time salary range we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. The salary offered within the range may vary depending on multiple factors including job level, geographic location, job‑related knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience and in compliance with local wage requirements. The successful candidate may be eligible for annual merit increases.
