Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is seeking a Hardware Engineering Technician in our research and development division. The role focuses on testing proto units and boards with opportunities for investigative troubleshooting to the component level.

Essential duties include basic hardware tests, prototype assembly, ECO processing, and supporting engineers in evaluation and development activities within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Two-year electronic technology or related associate degree.
• Working knowledge of modern analog and digital electronics and electronic circuits.
• Familiarity with modern test equipment.
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
• Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
• Background check results satisfactory to SEL.
• Negative drug test result(s).

Responsibilities

Pay Range Information: $40.50 - $59.50 per hour. Our salary ranges are determined by job and responsibility. We base our starting pay offer and title on job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
