Job summary

Remington & Vernick Engineers in Cherry Hill, NJ, seeks a Water/Wastewater Senior Engineering Technician with 2–5 years of experience (EIT preferred). You will plan, design, and analyze water and wastewater systems, including water mains, pumping stations, and treatment facilities.

You will work in a team, produce reports and regulatory documents, and support the inspection group. Proactive problem-solving and strong writing skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • EIT preferred while working towards PE.
  • BS degree in Civil, Mechanical, Structural, or Chemical Engineering from an accredited program.

Responsibilities

  • Hydraulic calculations and layout of structures.
  • Produce reports/drawings for water distribution systems, wastewater conveyance, treatment plants, pumping stations.
  • Engineering support to inspection department.
  • Capable of addressing multiple assignments on time and within budgets.
  • Proactive identification of problems with detailed analysis and resolution.
  • Produce regulatory permitting applications.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Water/ Wastewater Senior Engineering Technician is a professional with a 2 to 5 years of experience with EIT certificate (preferred). This individual will plan, design and perform analysis on water/wastewater engineering projects such as water main; sanitary main; pumping stations; and water & wastewater treatment facilities. The Engineering Technician shall be self-motivated, with good writing skills and capable of working in a team environment.

PRIMARY DUTIES:
  • Hydraulic calculations and layout of structures.
  • Work on a team to produce correspondence/reports/biddable documents for water distribution systems; wastewater conveyance system; treatment plants; potable wells; water storage tanks; and water & sanitary pumping stations.
  • Engineering support to our inspection department.
  • Capable of addressing multiple simultaneous assignments, on-time and within budgets.
  • \"Proactive\"' identification of problems/issues coupled with detailed analysis and effective resolution.
  • Work on a team to produce regulatory permitting applications.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
  • EIT preferred while working towards PE.
  • Ability to clarify and concisely express thoughts verbally and in written correspondence/reports/specifications.
  • Provides effort and takes pride in all work assignments produced.
  • Not afraid to ask for guidance/assistance in order to expedite the date of assignment deliverables.
  • Ability to simultaneously work on group and individual assignments.
  • Must have effective communication, management and writing skills.
  • Must be skilled in the use of Word/Excel products.
  • AutoCAD capability a plus.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelors of Science Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Structural, or Chemical Engineering curriculum from an accredited four-year college or university.
Certifications/Licenses Required
  • EIT or preparing to take and working towards PE.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of a Construction Observer, the employee typically works in the field and may be exposed to outside weather conditions. Computer/technology is required to document and report work performed. The position requires the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

The annual base salary range for this full-time position in the United States is $61,000 - $91,500. This range represents a good faith estimate and is based on factors such as the role, level, and geographic location. The range shown reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for this position across all U.S. locations.

Within this range, individual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors including skills, experience, education, and training.
