Job summary

SoTalent is seeking a Senior Engineering Specialist for Facilities and Critical Utilities to lead global standards for utility systems and site-level modernization. You will oversee HVAC, WFI, compressed air, and electrical infrastructure with strong regulatory focus.

You will guide capital projects, mentor teams, and drive sustainability initiatives across international sites, requiring deep cGMP knowledge and collaboration with site leaders. Travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or closely related technical field
• Minimum 15 years of experience in pharmaceutical facility or utility engineering
• At least 8 years in a senior technical leadership or specialist role
• 3 years supporting manufacturing operations
• Deep understanding of cGMP in highly regulated environments
• Familiarity with FDA, OSHA, ISO, ISPE, ASME standards
• Experience managing capital projects end-to-end
• Strong communication and influence across regions

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain global engineering standards for utility systems and facility design
• Provide technical oversight for critical systems including HVAC, WFI, compressed air, and electrical infrastructure
• Lead technical reviews for facility designs and engineering studies to ensure alignment with cGMP and safety regulations
• Collaborate with site leaders to plan and execute complex facility upgrades and reliability improvements
• Support global sustainability goals through carbon reduction and energy-efficient technologies
• Develop standardized project documentation including scopes of work and basis of design
• Offer mentorship to engineering teams across international locations
• Participate in capital planning and project gate reviews
• Maintain awareness of evolving industry practices and regulatory changes to update internal procedures
• Travel up to 25 percent domestically and internationally
