System One is seeking a Senior Engineering Project Manager to lead large-scale design projects in the power sector from Greenville, SC. The role starts remotely and transitions to office as facilities open, with end-to-end project lifecycle responsibility from design through commissioning.

The candidate will manage budgets, schedules, and quality across international teams, require travel to sites, and coordinate with clients to meet contractual requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license highly preferred.
• 15–20 years of experience in power projects, with significant experience in combined cycle plants.
• Minimum of 8–10 years in a Project Manager role managing a portfolio of small to large-cap projects.
• Willingness to travel and work in both office and field settings.

• Lead mid-to-large capital power projects, particularly combined cycle power plants, with a TIC of $100MM+.

• Monitor, report, and control project costs and productivity; manage Change Management to maintain project profitability and scope integrity.
• Serve as primary client liaison to ensure contractual requirements are met and to foster new business opportunities.
• Recruit, train, and coach project personnel to maintain staffing efficiency and technical excellence.
• Perform field walk-downs and data collection, requiring physical activity and travel to project sites.

Overview

System One is e are seeking a high-caliber Senior Engineering Project Manager to join our Project Management Department in Greenville, SC. The position will start off remotely then move into office once opens. This role offers a premier opportunity to lead complex, large-scale design projects for major clients in the power industry. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of project execution, from early-phase design and vendor management through to start-up and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic vision and direction for project staff, ensuring full accountability for budget, schedule, and quality of technical deliverables.
• Lead mid-to-large capital power projects, particularly combined cycle power plants, with a Total Installed Cost (TIC) of $100MM+.
• Manage and coordinate work with overseas High Value Engineering (HVE) offices and multidisciplinary teams globally.
• Monitor, report, and control project costs and productivity; manage Change Management (ECNs) to maintain project profitability and scope integrity.
• Serve as primary client liaison to ensure contractual requirements are met and to foster new business opportunities.
• Recruit, train, and coach project personnel to maintain staffing efficiency and technical excellence.
• Perform field walk-downs and data collection, requiring physical activity and travel to project sites.

Requirements
