Job summary

Apex Water and Process in Houston, TX, is seeking a Senior Engineering Project Manager to lead customer projects from concept through closeout, blending engineering expertise with project leadership. You will coordinate cross-functional teams and manage scope, schedule, and budget to deliver value for our clients.

As a senior contributor, you will mentor junior staff, ensure safety and quality standards, and drive continuous improvement across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
• 8+ years of combined project management/engineering experience.
• Experience with external customers and reading contracts/ specifications.
• Willingness to travel approximately 20% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer projects from award through execution and closeout, on time, within scope and budget.
• Develop detailed project plans with timelines, milestones, resources, and review points.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, procurement, controls, operations, and execution.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor less experienced team members.
• Communicate project status, risks, and financials to customers and leadership at key milestones.
