Job summary

Dewberry’s growing Commercial Utilities – Energy/Renewables Group seeks a Senior Engineering Project Manager to lead delivery of site/civil infrastructure projects for utility, energy, and renewable clients in the region. You’ll guide projects from pursuit through construction, coordinating permitting, QA/QC, and client relations to ensure success.

In this role you’ll mentor staff, manage multidisciplinary teams, and drive business development while expanding Dewberry’s energy and renewables

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience producing and managing site/civil project deliverables.
• Professional licensure in NJ, MA, PA (or ability to obtain within 18 months).
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Experience leading permitting efforts and coordinating with regulatory agencies.
• Experience facilitating project meetings, stakeholder workshops, and agency coordination meetings.

Responsibilities

• Lead electric and gas utility, energy, and renewable site/civil infrastructure projects from feasibility and planning through design, engineering, permitting and construction.
• Serve as a primary client contact, facilitating project meetings and coordinating with stakeholders, agencies, and project teams.
• Prepare and review site/civil engineering/technical plans, reports and calculations.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams and subconsultants to deliver high-quality projects on schedule and within budget.
• Oversee permitting efforts and regulatory approvals with local, state, and federal agencies.
• Provide technical leadership and conduct QA/QC reviews of project deliverables.
• Monitor project scope, schedule, budget, and financial performance.
• Support business development efforts, including proposals, pursuits, and client relationship management.
• Mentor junior staff and collaborate with teams across Dewberry offices.
