Qualifications

• Proven experience leading engineering teams and coaching managers.
• Experience managing senior individual contributors.
• Experience with social, community, or consumer-engagement products is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a 12-person team, coaching a tech-lead manager and senior engineers.
• Own the engineering roadmap for Strava's social features and set a high bar for quality and velocity.
• Partner with Product and Design to define and deliver the social product vision.
• Make sound technical trade‑off decisions, staying close to detail to guide the team.
• Grow the team through hiring and by developing existing talent.
• Keep systems fast, reliable, and scalable as the community grows.
