Job summary

Strava is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Privacy and Login team, blending hands-on engineering with technical leadership. You’ll own how athletes sign up, log in, and control their privacy across iOS, Android, and web, while balancing product delivery with security and data protection.

This is a platform engineering role with a strong product focus; we support a flexible hybrid model and expect many on-site days at the San Francisco office.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of management/people leadership experience.
• 5+ years of strong fullstack or product engineering background.
• Ability to build predictable, secure login experiences and clear privacy controls.
• Ability to lead a team through ambiguous, high-stakes technical problems.
• Product mindset balancing UX with data protection.
• Holistic view of platform engineering as a foundation for trust, safety, privacy, and growth.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement privacy settings in the product.
• Own technical roadmap for sign-up, login, password management, and recovery.
• Deliver reliable login experiences across iOS, Android, and web.
• Collaborate with Product, Security, Trust & Safety, and Legal.
