Senior Engineering Manager – Scale-Up Environment (Remote)

An exciting opportunity to join a high-growth, technology-driven scale-up that is rapidly expanding and transforming its software landscape. As VP of Software Engineering, you’ll play a critical leadership role in driving the evolution of the software engineering function in a dynamic, fast-paced organization.

This is a key strategic hire for a seasoned technical leader with a strong background in Java and JavaScript development, deep experience with cloud platforms (ideally GCP), and a track record of scaling software engineering teams in a high-growth or scale-up environment.

You will be responsible for leading and growing the engineering team, enhancing the software estate, and delivering high-quality solutions within a cloud-first, bespoke application environment. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a scale-up culture and has the ambition to shape and influence a rapidly evolving tech function.

Skills / Experience:

• Proven experience as a VP of Software Engineering or equivalent senior leadership role in a scale-up or high-growth tech company

• Strong technical foundation in software development, with deep experience in Java and JavaScript ecosystems

• Cloud-native expertise, with a preference for Google Cloud Platform (GCP); experience with AWS also valued

• Strong track record of scaling software product delivery in fast-paced, regulated environments

• Experienced in leading distributed teams, driving engineering excellence, and implementing modern SDLC practices

• Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to engaging stakeholders at all levels
