Senior Engineering Manager, Safety Platform

Lead engineering pods within the Safety Platform organization, driving the technical vision and execution for the foundational systems that power every safety workflow at Roblox.

Responsibilities

• Lead and Develop: Recruit, hire, mentor, and inspire a diverse team of exceptional engineers. Cultivate a collaborative and inclusive environment that promotes professional growth.
• Ensure Technical Excellence: Establish and maintain rigorous standards for technical quality. Ensure the team delivers reliable, scalable, and secure solutions in adherence to Roblox's engineering principles.
• Foster Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with product managers, designers, and other key stakeholders to comprehend business objectives and translate them into robust technical solutions.
• Contribute to Strategy: Participate in the development of the overall capture and sharing strategy. Identify opportunities for innovation and expansion, and strategically prioritize projects that maximize value for our user base.
• Champion Continuous Improvement: Instill a culture of ongoing learning and improvement within the team. Encourage experimentation, knowledge dissemination, and the adoption of new technologies.

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities to deconstruct complex challenges into manageable components, coupled with the requisite project management skills to drive projects to successful completion.
• A long‑term strategic perspective, balanced with the practical ability to implement timely, short‑term solutions to launch systems and gather user feedback, informing superior long‑term planning.

The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job‑related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full‑time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits as described on this page.

Annual Salary Range $345,040—$399,420 USD

Roles that are based in an office are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
